Friday Grandbaby Blogging

I like flowers and the Zoo. We went to the zoo and then we looked at flowers and I saw a bear up close in the zoo but it was behind glass but it was in a "habitat." My mama said she likes animals that are in the wild but some zoos are good like the Lincoln Park zoo and she has a joke but she won't tell me because it's dirty and I'm two.

My mama has a bad cold that is in her chest and she's supposed to go on a cruise tomorrow and fly on an airplane so she's on drugs but she's still not feeling perfect. She watched the movie "Children of Men" yesterday but she thought it was depressing so then she watched "The Search for John Gissing" which she said made her laugh. She says she would watch Alan Rickman read the phone book but I think that's boring. What's good about a phone book?

Okay, bye bye

How nice that you went to the zoo! One of our fellow bloggers, Vicki of A Mark on My Wall, is a docent at that zoo. Maybe you actually got to see her. That would be so cool. I hope your mama feels better so she can have a good journey.

I saw a bear once too, only it wasn't in a zoo. It was in a woods and it roared and it made me cry and I told my Dad I wanted to go home RIGHT NOW!

Wow - you are really getting big! Tell your mama that although Children of Men is depressing, it was my favorite film from 2006. Oh, and I'm going on a cruise in a couple weeks too! Hope your mama gets well and has a fun cruise.

Speaking of bears, what does your grandma think of the Cubs these days, Ellie? I know they're putting me through the emotional wringer.

Hey Jood, I was thinking about you and thought I would stop by to see if there was anything new from you here. I hope you are fine, take care and be safe.

Jood,

I was going to include you in the current meme, but then I read your recent post. Silence, then. Let it be.

I just finished a Year of Silence, in which almost all my rage and disgust came out on the blog, but in what I hope is a voice of compassion and reason. How can one be angry at the insane? They know not what they do.

The blog continues to be a therapeutic public/private outlet.

Let us continue to revel in the small pleasures. They do add up.

shalom,

Alan
