Quote of the day

"There are four enemies of human rights: oil, gas, the war on terror and geopolitical considerations. And we have all four."

YEVGENY A. ZHOVTIS, a human rights advocate in Kazakhstan.

Because our rubberstamp Repukes decided to protect their precious war criminal president from being charged with war crimes, and chuck habeas corpus and the Geneva Conventions into a garbage heap today, America now proudly is in the company of nations like Iran, China, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and North Korea. THAT is something Bush outta be proud of, huh? Human rights? What's that? Dennis Hastert says they don't exist, so that simply must be true! And with his wheezing, greasy face that always looks like he was just freshly dipped in donut glaze, Hastert let all of us Dems have it by saying this: "Dems care more about the rights of the terrorists." I pray these fiends and ghouls finally reap what they have sown.

Today our country came home in a flag-draped coffin. A casualty of an ill-conceived war. We have all lost a precious loved one. I am grieving.

Our country was high-jacked in January 2001 by G. Dubya Bush...and we have to fervently hope that his reign will trully end in 2008...I don't want to have to nut-up if he pulls the war card pres thingie to have a longer term. I'd hate to be him...if he does. Marie Antoinette and her Louis found out about not understanding the 'people'...and it caused a resurgence of knitting too.

I am grieving too. How did it all come to this? When did we become evil?

Tina, the current administration has joined the ranks of every dictatorship. They've committed passive genocide with a failure to provide aid in New Orleans; they trash human rights in the pursuit of oil. Greed drives them.

Robin Andrea, we are all grieving.

Sumo, our country was hijacked with the bloodless coup that was the November 2000 election fraud. And I have said since Sept. 12, 2001, that come November 2008, he will have done away with elections.

TFLS, WE have not become evil; apathy and reality television have created a passive people who allow evil to rule the day. Those of us who are awake have to step up to the plate to make change.
