Blog for Peace
Today is the day: the 2nd anniversary of BlogBlast For Peace.
For reasons beyond me, Blogger won't let me upload my peace globe - but you can see all the others at the above link. I made my peace globe using a program that Blogger doesn't seem to like.
Let me just say this: I feel hopeful for the first time in seven years. I believe that the USA can once again become a beacon for peace. We can send that energy out to the world. We can be the change we want to see in the world.

I have a an account with Photobucket that I use for the images Google won't let me post. It's a freebie- here's the link if your interested: LINK
I clicked around on some European and Asian sites, and it seems like the whole world is breathing a huge sigh of relief.
I say this with no sense of irony that John Lenon had it right.
BlogBlast sounds, oh, I don't know, kind of violent.
I humbly offer a new term. BlogShotgun for Peace. Everyone loves shotguns!
I personally prefer hunting baby seals from Helicopters.
No Joke! What the World needs now is Peace.
Might I suggest we replace the Terrorism color coded fear chart with a Goodwill chart, so we can keep track of how well we are getting along on this globe of ours.
Also, Blogger needs to come around with Blogosphere peace. Be more photo & layout friendly
Oh crap, I posted on the Fashion Police. I'll just post again.
I'm struggling with the anger I feel about the decimation of our liberties, so I'm rather inclined toward justice and maybe a bit of revenge, but I'll dig deep and see if there's an ounce of peaceful forgiveness in me.
I LOVE Fran's idea!!
Beautiful image Jood.
It is a beautiful post, Diva. We need diversity in our celebration of peace, for heaven's sake. You know, you model change for me in your generosity and your values, just to mention two ways. It is great to look forward to new hope.
Give Peace a chance. John Lennon all the way.
You say that you feel hopeful for the first time in seven years.
If you think about it, if we had ever lost all hope, the outcome of the election might not be so sweet. We've had this hope and kept it all along and prevailed.
Now, the real work begins. My wish list will appear shortly and includes a lot of things that peaceful people lost over the last 8 years.
Not to fear. Your peace globe is in the official gallery as #1167...with or without Blogger's help. I feel hopeful also after the election. I pray the momentum for positive change will build and come to fruition. But the people will have to continue to voice their desires for change to their leaders.
BlogBLAST does sound kind of anti-peace, doesn't it? Hmmm.....no. It just means let's make a loud noise for peace.
And we did.
Thank you for participating!
Peace to you and yours,
Mimi
