Molly Ivins died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, from Breast Cancer.
"The poor man who is currently our president has reached such a point of befuddlement that he thinks stem cell research is the same as taking human lives, but that 40,000 dead Iraqi civilians are progress toward democracy." Molly Ivins, July 2006

I commented at Kvatch's place earlier that I am saddened to learn of her passing (my dad called me and told me) but perhaps selfishly, I am more saddened to think that my dad and I will no longer be able to discuss her columns. We both loved her so much and devoted many, many conversations to the dearly departed Molly. May she rest in peace.
..... Now, this is completely unrelated, but I see that you switched your blog over, and I have some questions: On Weds, Jan 31st, I logged in for my final time on Old Blogger (when I logged in it told me I would only have one chance to log in on Old Blogger) and I created a post, and then around 6pm, I switched my blog over to New Blogger. It is now nearly 2am on Feb 2nd, and my blog is completely unaccessible to myself and to others. If you try to go to my blog, this message appears: "This blog is currently moving to the new version of Blogger. Please try back in a little while. "
Should I begin panicking now or later?
How freaking long does it take to switch a blog over?
Is my blog-- and 2 years of my life that I diligently devoted to my blog-- now gone forever?
I've literally searched thru ever frickin Blogger "help" page and group to find some semblance of an answer, but alas, I fear I am simply screwed.
My blog was soooo low tech (zero ads, very easy template, very few side links) what could possibly be the BFD???
Tina, mine took about five minutes to switch - but it is not as old as your blog, nor as filled. Your blog is 2 years old, has a lot of photos, and has a lot of links in it - SOMEWHERE there has to be a place to email blogger help and ask them, but I would give it at least til end of day. I just tried to get into your blog and got the same response. Will keep monitoring as well. And will try to email you later.
