vomitorium (vom-i-TOR-ee-uhm) noun, plural vomitoria
A passageway to the rows of seats in a theater.

Vomitoria in ancient amphitheaters helped the audience to reach their
seats quickly and then, at the end of the performance, leave at an equal
speed (hence the name). Thousands of seats could be filled in minutes.
The suggestion that a vomitorium was the place for the ancient Romans
to vomit during a feast has no basis.
However, given our current state of affairs, it is quite descriptive.

i am so exasperated by this government. i know that the congress can only do so much- i wish we could do more. i thought about your suggestion that i run for office- i am still thinking about it. i believe in changing things from the inside out- but how much of an impact would i have? would there be more like me? i could woulda shoulda coulda forever and still not have answers. i still don't know diva.
Vomitorium, HA! haven't heard that word in days.
Hmmm...there are many variations on that word that would apply to the current political situation.
Vomitorium - isn't that the name of a hit song?
I can see much use for that these days. Get all the thugs in there and set the lions loose! Now that is what I call justice!
