Quiet time for me
The best aspect of blogging has been the friends I've made - wonderful people who care deeply about our world and who want to make a difference. The worst aspect has been the amount of time it takes - sitting at a computer, when it's goregous outside, gets tedious. I want to be outside, in the water, playing.
And so I'm not exactly closing Journeys with Jood; I'll pop in from time to time when I really have something to say. But right now, I have nothing to say. I don't even feel like visiting other blogs because I have nothing to add. And what little I do have to say, I will say at The Sirens Chronicles.
For all of you who do visit, thank you. Thank you for your opinions, your comments, your humor, your challenges - you've all made me grow and think, and stretch. But now it's time for me to get quiet.
Peace, love, and understanding!

I was wondering what was up with you and your apparent quiet. Completely understandable. I for one will be looking forward to your posts at Sirens Chronicles. Be well dear one ! Seems that all of us go through the ebbs and flows of life - only natural. Journeys is staying on my blog roll for sure. And there is nothing wrong with down time or quiet time. Good for you for honoring your inner voice.
As long as you're not closing up shop for good, take as much time as you need. Your voice is absolutely essential, so when you've got the time and the energy, shout it out. I'll be here to hear it. Take care and be well.
We all must be hitting a saturation point!
Cheers!
It's certainly understandable and you will be missed.
Sometimes, those who say very little, say very much. I've found that true time after time on these pages. Thank you for allowing me that pleasure. Whatever you do, you'll have to take this blog down to get it off my blogroll!
I too will miss you.
They say things happen in three's and it sure looks like that is true.
First bluegrrrrl posted she's leaving.
Second peacechick mary said she's leaving and now her blog is gone from blogspot.
Three and now your leaving. Can the blogosphere take the leaving of three very talented bloggers?
I don't know, but I certainly hope so. Please leave your site up and I'll check in from time to time to see if anything new is up.
Take care and stay safe.
God Bless you.
Diva...this has been your haven and Bean's too. You will have to do Beanie at the Sirens on Fridays so everyone can get their Bean on. Love that baby girl!
I've done the same thing a couple of times, Ms. Diva, once for over a month. It's good to recharge every now and again. Take care!
I say this to you and to all the other progressive bloggers out there: I have made many friends blogging and I began blogging when I needed an outlet to express my frustration with the war, healthcare, etc. It was wonderful to know that I was not alone, that the topsy turvey feeling was one felt by many. I will always remember the growth and strength that came from blogging. Now, I must say, blogging about politics and the horrors of the world is not cathartic and causes me unhappiness. Reading about it on other blogs causes me unhappiness. A continued and heightened level of outrage is not good for the soul. I am glad you are taking the time you need to be quiet. More productive things will come from that. I will miss PeaceChick, I never read Blue Girl, but Anon said she is leaving. I doubt I will go to Sirens, the name frightens me too much. It is time to be still. You will accomplish much more being still and quiet, I SWEAR!!!
Enjoy your break. I hope we get to hear from you once in a while!
All the best, Jood! Take a break and recharge the batteries. Hope Ellie will still blog in your place once in awhile and keep us posted about what you're up to.
BTW, nice to see your alter ego back at SCTV. Hope you drop in more often now!
I hear you, Sister.
You know that I have debated shutting down LM, partly because I want and need less time at my computer and partly because of the subjects we all cover and the generalized hopelessness they cause. One reaches a saturation point.
I decided to make one post per week and not visit other blogs every day and this has been a fairly good compromise for me and one you might consider.
However you proceed, I'm grateful to have met you and I've been enriched by what you find to post and the thoughtful way you present it all.
I never did pop in often enough :( Too busy pontificating. I will keep an eye out for your return.
While it stings my heart a bit to see ya go, I understand 100%.
I just hope you come back after a bit of R & R.
... and please do let Ellie Bean post every once in awhile.
I can't bear her being gone forever.
Plenty of hugs and smooches to help ya heal and recharge... hopefully.
May you get the greatest benefit from your period of refreshment. I look forward to your return.
Traveling Man.
I hope you enjoy what is left of summer and do what makes you happiest!
:)
many hugs and much support...I do understand..and just am glad that you will still be writing and reflecting...you are a wise wonderful soul that I am so glad to have met here in Blogland...and so glad to know....I know all about needing quiet...namaste good woman...namaste...
i understand and i will miss you. yes, the constan t sound of war drums and the righteous indignation is tearing at me as well.
i'm not considering leaving, but i will say that when my laptop was in the shop, i was amazed at how much more relaxed i was. and the amount of time freed up!!!
I understand my friend. I almost gave it up myself.
Diva my sweet... I've been on hiatus for around a month, myself. I'm peeking back in, but still feeling too fragile to jump back into the political fray... peace to you!
Enjoy your time off, Divajood. Don't forget to drop in and say hello some time ;)
Hip, hip hooray, honey! Best of luck in your new digs. Glad to hear the Diva will still be in the house, though. I do visit, even if I have been too tied up with Kelley's campaign to comment.
Please don't forget to announce this over at The Fat Lady Sings. Our readers will want to know all about it. And your Sirens sound fabulous, honey! Here's wishing you all the very best of work!
