The more I do this, the more interesting it becomes to me. There are blogs I visit faithfully for politics and rants. There are blogs I visit faithfully because they provide a peaceful, serene oasis in the day. And there are blogs that focus on art; on food; you name it, it's out there.
Some people periodically recommend blogs. Others, like me, have a list on their sidebar. I explore their lists -- some lead to dead ends and others are just delightful.
What is the most delightful surprise you've encountered when exploring other blogs?

Okay, update. Alicia has a post about Marcy Winograd over at Last Left Before Hooterville. I mention this because a) Marcy needs our support, and b)Alicia has been my blogging mentor. Thanks, A!

There's a great interview with Marcy on a blog that I think you'd enjoy - The Brad Blog. A very informative and up-to-date blog.
Alicia, that is a great interview. Thanks for the link. Marcy has a good shot at this.
I agree that browsing blogs is a great pasttime, and I've had some wonderful surprises lately. One thing that was fun was to find a blog with lots of video clips, and then to discover the web site: www.youtube.com. This crazy place has so many videos, almost all made by amateurs. it provides hours of entertainment (If only I had hours to spend that way). The 15 minutes or so were fascinating and left me with an appetite for more.
Sigrid, youtube is hilarious! That is a great site.
What I like most about exploring other blogs is finding sisters-in-arms. Jeez, I wish we could all visit in the same city. You could bring great vegetables and keep us up-to-date on the political scene, Alicia could make music and write beautiful stories, Helen could write good political insights, I could attempt to crack a funny in between my bitching rampages. Let's all do that one day. Let's have a big ol' blogger-sisters reunion. I can host if you can bring the home-grown tomatoes. Sigrid, I have not visited your site yet, but you should be at the reunion too!

Did I tell you I got to go to her fundraiser in Beverly HIlls? Marcy's super cool! I hope she wins!
I love a blog that makes me laugh, and the "STeve dont' eat it" series at www.thesneeze.com is pricelss. I nearly wet my pants.
Here's the link. Be prepared to be grossed out but laughing... a strange combo but one I apparently like!
Steve, don't eat it!
Thanks for the Steve, don't eat it link, HW -- will check that one out from home later. Yep, laughter is the best.
I still haven't met Marcy, but I am so impressed with her positions and her attitude. I think she has a good shot at winning. She certainly has their attention.
