Move over, Carlos

Alfonso Soriano, I love you.

Nothing like a big bat.

I'm just wondering which heartbreaking way you guys are going to lose a playoff series. ;-)

AAARRRGGGG! Randal, you are cruel. It has been 100 years without a World Series, this HAS to be our year.

I really do wish you luck this season you love them so. Why Alfonso over Carlos though or did he just hit a grand slam or win a close one or something?

I'm simply amazed that the photographer was able to capture him levitating that bat. I'm with you, I would love to see the Cubs win it all. I became a fan while I was residing in Wheaton over in Dupage County. When I was a kid, the Reds were my team. Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Pete Rose, Gary Nolan, and Lee May - what a team! Of course Pete helped take some of the luster off later.

Patriot, the Cubs were tied last night 1-1, and in the 10th inning, Soriano hit a game winning single, driving in the winning run. And since Zambrano was already out of the game in the 8th inning, my love is fickle.

Robert, I am more amazed that Soriano can actually levitate a bat. He must have gone to Hogwarts or something. I wish his skill extended to his fielding abilities, but alas, non.

"my love is fickle."
For one perhaps, but when it comes to your Cubs as a whole....:) People can say what they will about the Cubs and their fans, but loyalty is a quality sadly lacking in this society!

Would you drop me an email at dpraay@gmail.com, please? I thought I had your addy, but I guess not, and there's something I need to talk over with you, if you will.

TUA, my love is only fickle with individual ball players. It's the team that has my heart.

Diva, thanks for the beefcake again. You have excellent taste in athletic hunk.
Go team!

Oh yeah! Thanks Diva ;)

Utah, I do have excellent taste in beefcake. It's a gift. And a curse.

Dusty, I would like my broom to be hand delivered by Alan Rickman.

now Diva...we had a talk about Alan....I see you are still waiting for the broom..( we won't tell DK...okay I say up and watched Youtube clicks of him...I am pathetic...)...NOW about about the Cubs....I found a station here and I can watch them - and I like them...alot...

( the Indians have fallen apart- but I am still watching them too...)

i have always thought he was a great player- he just never got the airtime that jeter or the other overpriced pretty boys did :)

Dusty, all I can say is that while I worship at the Church of Baseball, Rickman does lead my laminated list.

Enigma, you are getting WGN, a super-station (it can broadcast anywhere), made so because Cubs fans have scattered across the nation for better weather.

Betmo, Soriano is great at the plate, but his fielding skills are sometimes questionable. Jeter is much more consistent a player. However, hitting that game winner against the Dodgers made me love Soriano!

Under way in Los Angeles. Soriano struck out on 4 pitches. Bad as he looked, I'd be willing to trade Andrew Jones for him. But that offer's only good until midnight, tonight, Pacific. Think it over Jood, and get back to me?

DivaJood said...

Ah, Vig, you made the offer when my internet was down. I might want to toss in Theriot after today's bone-head play at second.

Vigilante said...

I'll renew the offer, DJ! Good while this series lasts! How do you like our rookie, DeWitt? Never played in Triple A and he has taken Garciaparra's position!

My Cap's off to the Cubs, BTW! Best team in baseball at the moment. (But, we're trying to change that.)

DivaJood said...

Ah, Vig. It's still early. The Cubs can always find a way to blow it before September comes around.
