Alicia, good to see ya! Thanks for the comment -- why do they go from in focus to blurry when I upload?
OWL, thanks! Blogging has energized me. Why do I think it's funny that your screen name compresses to OWL, but your image is of cats? That's hilarious.
Ujwala, thank you. The marathon is really amazing. Some compelling images from everyone.
Thanks Robin Andrea. The colors are much better on the actual drawing. I'm not sure why it goes so kerfluey when I upload, but it is not a blurry drawing, and it is not a blurry photo. Just, a blurry upload.
Without knowing the details of your process (how big the file originally, what program you're using to edit, etc.) I would guess it has something to do with resolution. If you tell me how you get it from camera to computer and what you do before you upload, I can probably help you. E-mail privately if you like, or we can discuss it here - either way! I'm in Florida now, but I still have my laptop so I'm hooked up.
Alicia, I will email later -- but when you start talking about file sizes, this is a foreign language to me! On this one, I cropped a bit when I went to upload because of a tea stain (yes, I drank tea while drawing)that looked like a bug -- maybe the cropping is what made it blurry.

I like the colors here too. I'm definitely going to have to do at least one more portrait. You are an inspiration!
