Friday grandbaby blogging
Musical baby loves all kinds of music. She loves classical: the opening track on a Baby Einstein CD is a medley from the opera "The Barber Of Seville", and as soon as she hears it, she starts dancing and laughing in time to the music. She loves rock. She loves jazz. She loves all things Sesame Street. But this is NOT her IPOD, it's daddy's.
And yesterday when we spoke on the phone, she listened intently as I sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider" - and when I finished, she said with great authority "AGIN". Oh, and her new favorite word is "THIS." The reason we got to speak on the phone yesterday is because my daughter and I were speaking, and Bean pointed to it and said "THIS."
She's running for President in 44 years.

Music baby, I like that.
She gets cutier every pic. In 44 years, she'll be a knock out. I will give her my proxy now, just in case I don't live that long.
So precious - lucky you!!
I think Beanie will be faaar too smart and sophisticated to run for president in 44 yrs. She won't want to sully her hands with such low-down dirty tricks and political lowlives that seem to be attracted to politics like moths to flames. But maybe in 44 yrs, a revolution will have truly taken place and there will be a place for her in the White House... let's all hope. Now perhaps if we were to discuss her being a Nobel Peace Prize winner... well... that might be more like it.
In the last trimester of your pregnancy, my OB/GYN wants you to chart the times you feel the baby moving. On days when BabyGirl was especially lazy and made me freak out that something just "had to be wrong" in there, Hubby would sit me down in front of our entertainment center and crank up Carl Orff's Carmina Burana on the Dolby speakers. Without fail, she would start flipping around. After she was born, we would play it for her, and she would turn her head towards the music. To this day, she loves to listen to it... VERY, VERY LOUDLY.
I'll vote for her--so long as she doesn't pardon Chimperor.
she has my vote based on her pedigree and love of music :)
POP, she may decide instead to be a rocket scientist. Or a golfer.
Sigrid Jardin, you'll get your chance eventually! But I am envious of the apple harvest you posted.
Tina, you're right, she's too good for Prez. Nobel Peace Prize, that's the ticket.
Yoga, the Shrub signed his own pardon the other day.
Betmo, I am sure that Beanie appreciates it!
Wise baby Beanie. I love Carmena Burana, it is the best music ever! I love it loud too.
Beanie for President, now that would be exciting. I hope she keeps wearing the pink after she wins.
My nephew said when he was about six that he was going to be either a paleontologist or a brick layer!
"This" is so delightful to hear, even agin and agin, that she digs classical and jazz! There are times that I despair for the future of them both but now.... Ofcourse, there still will be the teen years but she just might be smart enough to survive them with as little of damage as possible. :) Till then, please, keep headphone volume down for there is an huge army of hearing impaired youths all over the world!
Sumo, she is a happy music baby!
Karena, my great nephew said he wanted to be a hillbilly!
Pekka, she also loves Elmo's song, she doesn't discriminate.
