Journeys: of the mind, heart, soul. Also, pack your bags, grab your passport, and hit the road. Politics, art, travel, humor, meanderings, whatever comes to mind.
Hasn't this self-portrait marathon been an interesting exercise? I do like your charcoal drawing, despite the fact you think it's too heavy. It has a certain certainty, if you will.
tdharma, it has been an interesting journey. Thanks for your comment about the charcol drawing; I don't like materials that can slide off the paper. I like paint; I like watercolor; pencil; ink; oil pastel. But charcol and regular pastel, not so much for me.
But it's the doing them that just keeps telling me my mood, or physical state. I intend to keep going, but probably won't post them after July 8th.
Grand job and I commend your dedication and your desire to use charcoal and pastels not because you like working with them but because you like the interesting results they render. Could it be that when you have less control of the medium miraculous things happend in the message?
