Friday Grandbaby blogging

Here's Ellie being invisible. Why? BECAUSE MY PHOTOS ARE ON MY PC. MY PC HAD A MELTDOWN ON SUNDAY. And this is my laptop. My daughter hasn't sent updates this week because she's been insanely busy at work, which is good. So, no photos, because I don't have anything new, or old, that I can access. The wonders of modern technology.

So instead I will just say that she points to her dog and says "Doggie." She says Mama, Dada, Ball, Blue, Cat. When she says these words in her lovely, sweet voice, she knows what she means. Dada is not reference to the surrealist movement; Mama refers to my daughter, her mom, rather than Yo-Yo Ma, the cellist.

I need to take my computer to a place to get it fixed, and to do that, I need free time during business hours. Miss my Ellie Bean.

Isn't it miserable to have computer problems? Feels like you have lost a life line or something.

So how old is the baby?

I hope you get your computer fixed. My hard-drive crashed on my Apple laptop last October, and I lost everything. Fortunately, I had backed up my photos just a week before the crash. It was a hard lesson to learn about backing up.

POP, Beanie is 16 months old - she was 16 months on July 18.

Dawn, that's the joy of outsourcing. Once I called customer service, and spoke with Rog. He was in New Delhi. We had a nice discussion, as I had clients going to India. But my computer was still screwed up.

Robin, I'm ready to go back to the old fashioned way - smoke signals.

I always always always back up my pix b/c they are simply to precious to lose... and b/c I learned the hard way what happens when you don't do it... :(

Sumo, had my daughter sent me new photos, I would have saved them on my laptop. But, no, alas, no. So everyone has to suffer. KIDDING.

I had a computer meltdown and lost alot of pics, so now I keep the pics on an external drive, which has a better chance of not participating in the meltdown... and keep cd backups too. I just hate loosing pics!!

Oh, and - You've been blogrolled. Thanks!

SB Gypsy, The second I have time to take it in to be fixed, my PC will be fixed. Someone pointed out it was probably smarter financially to just fix it than buy a new one. Let me see: $1700 for a spiffy new IMAC, with lovely software and a fancy new printer vs. mebbe $150 for repairs. Hmmmm.
