See The Truth
My phone company, Working Assets, sent me an email this morning inviting me to a house party this weekend. It's to see An Inconvenient Truth, and immediately following the screenings, Al Gore will speak to all the participants and answer questions on a conference call. Click on the House Party link to find an event near you, or go to Al Gore.com to sign a postcard.
If you haven't yet seen this film, I urge you to do so. We have such a small window of opportunity to make change. Otherwise, we will be looking at buying condos on the Moon, or on Mars while our planet lies in waste.
Don't forget to send your photos for this weekend's edition of Good Planets.

What scares the jeebees out of me is the tipping point. You know the one, which if crossed would render us as the helpless spectators watching a devastating chain reaction choke the life out of our beautiful planet. Ten years from now is the figure that is suggested by many on the know. Let's hope that decision making skeptics will not say on the 11th year; We shouldn't have stayed the course.
Pekka, I am convinced that the very wealthy don't really care because they know that when this earth is scorched and burned beyond repair, they will be able to afford their condo on The Moon and a second home on Mars.
It is a truly excellent film and, at least for me, reinforces the notion that our leaders cannot be trusted to do dick w.r.t. global climate change unless 1) We demand it and 2) Demonstrate that we're willing to take matters into our own hands by voluntarily reducing our own energy consumption.
